Dr. Malhar Pangrikar

Vice Chancellor MIT University Of Meghalaya Shillong | India

Dr. Malhar Pangrikar has achieved the distinction of being the youngest Vice Chancellor of any Indian university. He graduated with a degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from Amravati University, Maharashtra, and is an alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta. He earned his Ph.D. in Strategic Management from Amravati University, Maharashtra.

Dr. Pangrikar began his professional journey with HCL Infosystems Ltd. as a Senior System Integrator in the telecom division, followed by a role as a Research Associate with MIT School of Telecom Management. Throughout his academic career, he has published numerous research papers in national and international journals and has authored four books in his field of expertise. He has supervised over 50 business projects, many of which have received national recognition.

His areas of interest include Cultural Diversity, Sustainable Design, Applied Economics, Strategic Branding, Consumer Behaviour, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and E-Commerce. Dr. Pangrikar serves as an academic and strategic development mentor to several EdTech start-ups in India, contributing significantly to their success.

Dr. Pangrikar's leadership skills are further demonstrated by his rank of sergeant in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and his tenure as captain of the Amravati University Ball Badminton and Handball teams, showcasing his discipline and leadership qualities.

With extensive academic experience, Dr. Pangrikar is proficient in addressing complex challenges, maintaining an objective and result-oriented approach, employing data-driven problem-solving techniques, and building networks across various disciplines. His over a decade-long tenure with the MIT Group of Institutions, Pune, where he managed both greenfield and brownfield projects, has established him as a Senior Executive Member within the organization.
